Ten Things You May Not Know About Mrs. Starkey : *Years teaching: 8. I've taught in Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Fourth Grade, and Fifth Grade *Degree: University of Northern Colorado, BA Elementary Education as well as Middle School and Secondary Level Social Studies Education; minors in Psychology and Sociology *Favorite Subjects: Math and Reading *Greatest Accomplishment: Raising three extraordinary children; Kenzie (10th grader at Greeley West), Jackson (7th grader at Chappelow), and Megan (5th grader at McAuliffe) *Best Friend: My husband, Derek *Hobbies: See "Greatest Accomplishment" above; Soccer mom, Swimming mom, Theater mom, Forensics mom, Mathcounts mom, etc. I also love to work in my garden, and read any book I can get my hands on. *Pets: Mr. Doodle (Pekingese security system- cover your ears and watch your ankles) *Family Business: I am the daughter of two exceptional teachers (now retired), and my sister and I both teach fifth grade! *Frequently Seen: Laughing, reading, drinking coffee, and/or eating. *Hates: Brussel sprouts and traffic jams. 2012 Top Summer Book Picks This summer, I was reading, reading, and reading some more!
