Last few days

This Wednesday, May 22^nd is our last day of school.  Your child should be bringing home their report card tomorrow along with any other testing data that we have for your child (TCAP reports for third grade, etc.) 

Tomorrow we also have a move-up time from 9:00-9:30.  This is an opportunity for students to meet their new teacher for the fall as well as their classmates.  We invite all students to participate in this, allowing them to go into the summer break knowing their teacher and excited to be in their classroom.

Summer Break

We wish everyone a wonderful summer break!  We will have summer packets going home tomorrow for students to work on over the summer.  The goal of these packets is to allow our students to keep their skills up over the summer so we can hit the ground running when school starts up in the fall.  The first two pages of each packet are the summer reading logs.  We have some evenings set aside to share root beer floats with students and just ask them to bring their reading logs with them to the events.  The dates we have set up are June 26 and July 24, 7:00-8:00 pm.  We hope to see many of our students at these reading celebration nights. 

We will also have a celebration this fall for students when they bring back their completed summer packets- so encourage students to complete just a few pages each day and not try to complete the entire packet the week before school starts.
