I work with an array of students in one of the self-contained deaf and hard of hearing classrooms.  This is my 17th year teaching in District 6 and my third year at Chappelow.  I work with students on reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. 

 

I was born and raised in Illinois and moved to Colorado for graduate school at the University of Northern Colorado.  While obtaining my Master's Degree, I started working for District 6. I taught special education preschool at Monfort Elementary for seven years.  I then started teaching deaf and hard of hearing students at University Schools for District 6.  I taught preschool and high school for five years.  When the program moved out of University Schools I moved with the preschool program and taught at Centennial for 2 years.  I then went from preschool to intermediate and middle level at Chappelow for a year.  

 

Chappelow is an amazing home for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program.
