FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1.     Who can attend the program?  Any family member (aunt, uncle, grandparent, older sibling, etc) of a District 6 student.

2.     How do I register for classes?   You can register in person on any program day - Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. We will ask you a few simple questions (name, phone number, student's school) and then you will get to join the class right away.

What classes do you offer?   We offer three levels of English, Citizenship, GED, Computer Skills and Sewing/Craft classes. All classes are offered on Saturdays at Jefferson.  Tuesday and Thursday nights at Maplewood are English and GED in Spanish classes only.

3.     How will I know which level of English I should be in? You will be given a quick place test at the time you register for the program and will be assigned your English class level right away.

4.    I heard you had cooking classes, but I do not see them on the flyer. What happened? Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer the cooking class during the second semester this year. Keep an eye on the website for future Cooking Matter class opportunities.

I don’t speak English at all, will someone be able to help me when I arrive?   We will have interpreters that support Spanish, Somali, Burmese, Karen, Karenni, Tigrigna, Arabic and Amharic on site at all times at the program on Saturdays.
