  • We want all of our students to come to school dressed for the weather.  We engage in outdoor recess every day unless the staff chooses to keep the students inside.
Remember, snow stays on the ground!  Our CUBS show COURAGE everyday inside & outside of the school!

November COURAGE Assembly

Besides the usual acknowledgment of COURAGE Awards, Library Reading Challenges, T-Time Drawing winners, and Highest Average Daily Attendance recognitions, our Winograd CUBS had even more to celebrate.

Students held signs depicting the various amounts of money raised for the Weld Food Bank, United Way Hat & Pajama Days, the "Dig Pink" Volleyball fundraiser for the NCMC Breast Center, etc.
Winograd CUBS raised over $2,000.00 beyond our
goal during our annual fundraiser!
8th grader, Cole sold the largest amount of fundraiser goods
in the entire school.
The first grade classes kicked off their "Wags & Wishes" fundraiser to benefit the Weld County Humane Society.  Their collection of cat & dog food, as well as kitty litter will continue until Friday, November 21st.
Sharp Dressed Men!
Our A & B Teams paused for a quick photo after lunch on Thursday, November 13th.  They are in their "B-Ball Best" in preparation for their games against Brentwood Middle School.
Boys Basketball Highlights
Our Boys Basketball season has begun and we already have much to celebrate.  Our A Team has won six games.  Our B Team is competing well and coming close to their first win.
We are proud of the hard work our student athletes are engaged in, on and off the court.

Anti-Bully Parade

 Anti Bully 1

All Winograd CUBS big and small gathered on the Northridge High School practice field to work together to stomp out bullying.

The CUBS assembled into their Caring CUBS Connect groups.  They then marched around the field holding banners they had created earlier this month.  The banners encouraged alternatives to bullying and for all to take a stand and lend a hand against bullies, and were displayed throughout the field.

An anonymous donor purchased a T-Shirt for every student and staff member at the school.  The T-shirts said “Winograd’s Defensive Line…The Bullying Stops Here,” on the front, with the student’s grade level displayed on the back.
Winograd CUBS enjoy working together to take care of each other as they celebrate the joy of learning.  We are in a league of our own!

Caring CUBS Connect
C3 is In The House!
All Winograd students and faculty engaged in our monthly Caring CUBS Connect, (C3) activity on Wednesday morning, September 10th.  This month we focused on "Compassion."  Many small groups watched a video about random acts of kindness and paying it forward.  They then used the rest of their time to set goals for the year, both in school and at home.
Here are some pictures of our time together.

Ms. Prewett's C3 group watches the video in the library using one of our new Promethean Boards.

Ms. Niccoli's group takes a break from goal-setting
to pose for a picture.

Members of Mrs. Tellez' group gets to work setting their goals.
