AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Just a reminder that there is no After School Program on Friday February 5th and Tuesday, February 9th due to parent teacher conferences.  Please make arrangements to pick up your student(s) promptly after school on these dates if they do not ride the bus home.  Thank you for supporting your child(ren)'s learning!

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Games of the Week
Sixth graders will play on Saturday, February 6th at the Greeley Recreation Center.  Team White, led by Coach Higgins, will play on the North Court at 9 a.m. and face Romero Yellow.  Team Black, coached by Coach Lyons, will play on the South Court at 10 a.m. facing Team Chill.  Team Teal, led by Coaches Esquibel and Smith, will compete on the South Court at Noon vs. Prairie Heights White.

SPELLING BEE! 
Attention all Winograd 4th-8th Graders.  The Winograd 2016 Spelling Bee will take place in February.  Written Exams will take place Wednesday, February 17, 2016.  The Oral Exams will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016.  CUBS will find out who will represent Winograd at State on February 19th!
Interested students must sign up and collect a study packet.  See Ms. Dominguez in the office to do this.

JANUARY COURAGE ASSEMBLY
Thursday, January 21st found our CUBS gathered together to celebrate in an all-school assembly.

The 7th & 8th grade boys basketball teams were recognized.

Our fifth grade class introduced their Community Service Project for the year.

Enthusiastic third graders helped educate the school about the 5210 Program we will participate in during the month of February.

Mrs. Gerbers, Mrs. Warden, and Mrs. Mick were excited to accept the prizes their classes earned for having the highest average daily attendance in January.

The 7th & 8th grade band helped Mrs. Warden close the assembly as we sang the school song.

TRI-STAR COMPETITION RESULTS 
The Optimist's Tri-Star Competition took place on Thursday, January 21st in the gymnasium.  We are proud of all of our CUBS as they showed COURAGE passing, dribbling and shooting.

UNITED in Orange
 
On Friday, January 22nd, students and staff were encouraged to wear orange to support the Denver Bronco's AFC Championship game.  We have some fun photos from the day.
