  • 3D Computer Art I – Modeling (COM811ON)

    This course will introduce students to 3D modeling tools and concepts. Using Blender®, the popular open-source 3D modeling package, students will learn the basics of creating shapes, adding textures and lighting, and rendering. By the end of the course, students will have produced a series of increasingly sophisticated projects for their 3D portfolio. This course is suitable for students with no prior experience in 3D design or digital media authoring tools.

  • Computer Programming I (BUS802ON)

    In this course, students can gain computer literacy by learning how to program a computer at the introductory level. The course assumes no prior programming experience, but will help students develop formal and structured problem-solving skills using the programming environment. Student will learn computer logic, conditional statements, control statements, loops, and arrays using language such as Java.

  • Digital Photography & Graphics (COM821ON)

    This introductory design class teaches the basics of composition, color, and layout through a series of hands-on projects that allow students to use their creativity while learning important foundational skills. Through photography, art, and graphic design, students will create professional quality images. This class will utilize the free software GIMP.

    In this course, students will be introduced to all aspects of digital video production, from storyboarding scenes to creating shot lists to editing a finished, professional product. Throughout this course, students will complete hands-on projects to master the essentials of recording, capturing, and editing video. This course is an excellent introduction to the exciting field of digital video production.

    This design course builds on the foundational skills taught in 3D Computer Art I - Modeling. From trajectory and lighting to bones and movement, students will gain an understanding of the basics they will need to succeed as animators. This course will utilize the free software Blender®.
