Welcome to Mr. McKinnon's eClassroom Website

Hello and Welcome!  I am extremely excited to be a part of the ENGAGE Online Academy community.  I have been working with Weld County School District 6 since 2004.  I began my professional teaching career as an English as A Second Language teacher.  During that time, I earned a masters degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in education.  After a few years of ESL teaching, I decided to become a Social Studies teacher, and taught 8th grade U.S. History for a couple years.  As opportunity arrived, I became a High School Social Studies teacher.  I am excited to be part of ENGAGE Online Academy because I truly believe that the courses offered will offer a tremendous educational value, and they will embed technology into a curriculum that students can interact with.
