Student Council is always busy. In the past, we planned and participated in the Evans Fest parade, sponsored the Book Fairs as our fund raisers, have met with our classes and had elections for Student Council officers. We raised over $1000 for our End Somali Hunger charity drive and had a successful Weld County Food Bank drive.
Our officers have lunch with the Principal and Vice-Principal once a month for Leadership. This is a great way for the officers and administration to discuss ideas. We are always looking for ways to give students opportunities to lead.
Student Council meets Thursday mornings before school with Ms. Brooks in the computer lab. Officers facilitate a lunch meeting in the library twice a month.
Members apply by getting two staff signatures and parents signatures. They also must explain in writing why they would be good student council members. Forms are on the documents page.
We are looking forward to this year!
