Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a discretionary grant program from the U.S. Department of Education designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education.

The GEAR UP grant will help build a college going culture within our schools by supporting college visits, career exploration and academic planning.  This 7-year partnership provides additional mentoring, advising, and tutor support to current 8th and 9th grade students attending Brentwood, Franklin, Heath and Prairie Heights Middle Schools and Greeley Central, Greeley West and Northridge High Schools through their graduation from a District 6 high school.
