Judy graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with an elementary education degree and started her career teaching kindergarten in Brush, Colorado. She got married, had 4 boys and was a stay at home mom until her youngest son went to kindergarten. After receiving a masters degree from UNC in reading, she started her teaching career for District 6 as an intern at Jackson North. The following year, she was a 3rd grade teacher at Jackson Elementary School. Being a member of the first staff to open Dos Rios Elementary School was her next pursuit. She taught all primary grades, multi-aged classrooms, as well as Title One reading. When the opportunity arose, she helped open Heiman Elementary School as a fifth grade teacher. She also taught first grade at Heiman. After receiving her Education Specialist degree from UNC in Educational Leadership, she became a math coach for our district. She is currently our assistant principal at Jackson.
