Dear District 6 families, students, staff and community members,

I am honored to have been selected as the superintendent of Greeley-Evans School District 6. I am very excited to serve such an amazing school district and community.

Dr_Pilch This school year begins my 28th year as a public educator. I have had tremendous professional experiences serving as a teacher, assistant principal, middle school and high school principal, curriculum director, assistant superintendent, deputy superintendent and adjunct college professor in Wyoming, Missouri and most recently Boulder, Colorado. I have enjoyed working collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, support staff and community members to improve educational opportunities for all children, and I plan to continue that work here in Greeley and Evans.  As an educator and leader, I am mindful of the significant and lasting impact we have on staff, students, families and the community.

My husband and I are getting settled in, and we are finding this to be a welcoming and supportive community. We both grew up in Wyoming. My husband is still involved in his family ranch. For me having grown up in a farming community, I feel a bit like I am returning to my roots. I spent the first 16 years of my career in a fast growing district outside of Kansas City, Missouri, and the last 12 years serving the Boulder Valley School District. Prior to serving as an Assistant Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent in Boulder Valley, I was principal at Centaurus High School in Lafayette.

We are fortunate in District 6 to have so much support for our students and schools from many individuals, community organizations, governmental and educational entities, and businesses. These incredible partnerships make us stronger as a public school system and as a community. As superintendent, I am committed to strengthening and expanding these partnerships and relationships to benefit the entire school district community.

There are many, many things to be proud of in District 6. I plan to build on these and continue to strive to ensure each and every child succeeds and fulfills his and her potential. I will be in the schools and community as much as possible, and I look forward to meeting and getting to know many of you.

District 6 exists to serve the educational needs and aspirations of children in Greeley and Evans. I will continue to focus my energies on ensuring that students gain the skills and knowledge they need to be successful. I welcome your input, participation, feedback and support.

I look forward to welcoming our families, children and staff back to school in August.
