End of the Year Message 2022
Happy Last Day of school, District 6! It's been a fun week with end-of-year celebrations, field days, assemblies, award ceremonies, bridging ceremonies and graduations. I am sad that the weather doesn't appear to be cooperating for our outdoor graduations Friday and Saturday, but regardless, we will celebrate our graduates with grace and joy!

Data Breach: Illuminate Education
We were recently notified of a student data breach that occurred with a vendor we use, Illuminate Education. The product, eduCLIMBER, was determined to have exposed student demographics information as part of a migration of data.

D6 Nutrition Services Director named Southwest Regional Director of the Year
"We are very proud of Danielle and the whole Nutrition Services team," said Superintendent Dr. Deirdre Pilch. "During COVID-19, Danielle and her staff stepped up in a huge way, ensuring that our students had access to food even when we switched to remote learning. She is innovative and involved, and truly represents what is best about District 6."

Schedule & Transportation Changes for the 2022 - 2023 School Year
In order to provide more and improved bus transportation for Greeley-Evans School District 6 students, the start and end times for school days at all levels will shift next year, beginning in August 2022.

Two District 6 Students Named Boettcher Scholars
Herminia Bocanegra, a senior at Northridge High School, and Yahir Chairez-Salazar, a senior at Greeley Central High School, were recently informed they have been named Boettcher scholars, a highly competitive scholarship program that includes a lengthy application process, writing three essays, personal interviews and multiple letters of recommendation.

District 6 breaks ground on new Madison PreK-8 school
Ground was officially broken on the new James Madison STEAM Academy PreK-8 on Tuesday, marking the beginning of construction of a building that will replace Madison Elementary School.

Campus monitor named Classified Employee of the Year
The Greeley-Evans School District 6 Classified Council has selected Greeley Central High School Campus Monitor Amy Luster as the Classified Employee of the Year.

Registration open for D6 Community Listening Sessions
The Greeley-Evans School District 6 Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Deirdre Pilch are hosting three Community Listening Sessions in April to gather feedback and advice from community members regarding the school district and public education in Greeley and Evans.
