Bachelors of Science Masters of Arts

Mr. Michael Pearson

Hello, fellow Spartans, I am Mike Pearson and this will be my first year at Greeley West. I will be teaching Intro to Construction, Intro to Agriculture, and Power Systems. I spent the last five years at Heath Middle School where I taught social studies, AVID, and industrial arts. At that time, I gained some gray hairs while teaching Middle school students to use power tools. Before continuing to read, please take a second and reflect on the previous statement. Before Teaching, I worked 13 years in the construction and trucking industry. I also still currently work part time for Aims Community College as a Commercial Drivers Licence (CDL) trainer and I am a certified CDL 3rd party tester for the State of Colorado.

I am originally from the great flat state of Kansas where I earned my bachelor's degree from Pittsburg State University (GO! Fighting Gorillas!!). I transferred to Colorado following work in 2000 and have been here ever since. I have lived in Greeley for nine years where I also earned my Masters in History from UNC.

At home, I am married with two daughters and our new COVID inspired pet dog Daisy. I love to Sail as you will find me frequently during the summer testing the winds on Carter Lake and also for a couple of weeks of the summer you’ll find me inspiring to become the next Captain Ron (best movie ever) in some tropical paradise.
