Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome Class of 2033! I am SO excited to have you in my class!
Kindergarten is such an important grade! It is where you will learn to read and write independently and become a mathematician as well. It is a place to share information about your life and where you will learn how to be a great friend. Our classroom is a place where each personality can shine; a fun and safe place to learn. I hope when you leave Kindergarten, you will have a love of learning and lots of confidence!
This is my 13th year in Kindergarten at Christa McAuliffe. I've also taught Kindergarten and First Grade at several other schools in District Six. I grew up in a family of educators. I graduated from The University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Elementary Education. I also have an endorsement in Linguistically Diverse Education.
My husband Steve and I have been married for 34 years. We have three grown sons and a grandson Tate, who fills our life with joy! Our family also includes our miniature schnauzer, Dexter. My greatest hobby is spending time with my family; visiting, laughing, playing games and having movie marathons. I enjoy taking care of my flower garden and I collect beautiful elephant figurines from around the world.
I hope you'll enjoy learning in Kindergarten as much as I enjoy teaching it. It's going to be a wonderful school year!!
