• Dear Dos Rios Families:
     
    Welcome to our website! We are excited for all the great things going on in our school district and our school. We especially appreciate the support from tax payers for major rennovations to the school in 2021, including paint, carpet, new security features, HVAC, and furniture. Thank you! We also appreciate the support of The Success Foundation for the installation of our new SMART Lab! Finally, we are humbled by the support from the Colorado Health Foundation, Leprino Foods, PDC Energy, Sam's Club, Front Range Roofing, and our Parent Teacher Group with the installation of a new playground and intergenerational walking path in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Thanks to the support of our community, Dos Rios feels and looks like a brand new school!
     
    We stand out from other District 6 schools by being a fully authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program school. We use a constructivist, inquiry-based method of instruction and are the only public elementary school in our district to provide Spanish instruction to students K-5. When you next visit our school, please puruse our "Programme of Inquiry" (POI) on display in the front of the school. The POI is a curriculum map which exhibits all 36-teacher created Units of Inquiry to help students understand global issues in a local context. Did you know that Greeley-Evans District Six now offers a "continuum" of IB services from kindergarten to high school graduation? Dos Rios students can continue up the international path with Brentwood Middle School and Greeley West High School.
