Dos Rios is Spanish for Two Rivers, and the school was named in recognition of the South Platte and the Cache La Poudre rivers which border Greeley and Evans.
Our school was constructed in 1988 and underwent major rennovations in 2021 thanks to Bond and Mill Levy Override funds approved by voters. Dos Rios is home to the Buffaloes. We have two buffalo mascots: Lightning and Thunder!
We believe that student learning is a shared responsibility, as reflected in our School Vision: Shared Learning, Shared Responsibility, Shared Success. Learn how you can partner with us by visiting our families page on this website or registering as a volunteer at www.greeleyschools.org/volunteer.
Our Mission: The Dos Rios staff, parents, and community are committed to empowering and encouraging students to become successful life-long learners and leaders in an ever-changing world. We will work together to create challenging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences that emphasize intellectual rigor and high academic standards. Personal integrity and democratic values will be fostered in our students to prepare them to become balanced, responsible, reflective and globally conscious citizens.
Dos Rios Elementary School is a fully authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme.
