District 6 Headlines
Madison Elementary School is one of 21 schools across the state to be honored with the Governor’s Bright Spot Award, which includes a $50,000 grant through the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund.
Any parent or guardian interested in enrolling their child in a school outside their home boundary for the 2023-2024 school year must apply during the open enrollment period, which is November 1, 2022, through December 15, 2022. While District 6 is able to accommodate most open enrollment requests, it may not be able to approve requests for enrollment into schools, specific grade levels or special programs that are at or above capacity or cannot fulfill the specific needs of the student.
All non-charter schools in Greeley-Evans School District 6 will be closed November 21-25 for the Thanksgiving holiday. All District 6 offices, including the Administration Building will be closed November 24 and 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday. All schools and District 6 offices will reopen on Monday, November 28.
Greeley-Evans School District 6 is seeking public input on the naming of a new Career and Technical Education Center currently under construction. Funded through the 2019 Bond Issue, the Center is under construction at 1420 2nd Street, north of Billie Martinez Elementary School. District 6 is seeking recommendations from the community for the name of the CTE Center. The Center will have five unique career pathways: Early Childhood Education, Cosmetology, IT-Cybersecurity, Welding and Construction-Electrical.
