It is my pleasure to be teaching at Chappelow K-8 Arts Magnet School. This year marks my seventh year here and my 19th teaching. During my career I have taught in three different schools and in four different grade levels as well as in a gifted and talented position and as an English Language Acquisition teacher.

My husband and I have three children ranging in age form 5.5 years to 15 years. My favorite activities include reading, running, and baking. I love spending time with my family and friends.

  •  Quatrains

We read Animal Dreams, which is a book filled with quatrains, or four line poems.

We decided to write and illustrate our own quatrains, and turn them into short videos. Check them out!

    Targeted Instruction: William and Mary

In William and Mary this year, our theme has been Exploration. As part of our studyof exploration, we read non-fiction about Sacajawea, as well as poetry about her. The poem, entitled "Sacajawea: A Poem" was written by R. K. Beecham as a testament to this intrepid explorer.

We dove deep into the poem as we analyzed and interpreted it. Then, we decided to turn the poem into an expression of our interpretation.

We hope that you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it for you. Please feel free to leave us a comment below.
