Autobiography

I was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, where I attended Pueblo Central High School. I participated in volleyball, basketball, and track and was an active member of National Honor Society and the yearbook staff. After graduating in 1987, I moved to Greeley for college at the University of Northern Colorado.

I student taught at Greeley West in 1992 and was fortunate to be hired to teach Language Arts here the following year. Woah... That means the 2022-2023 school year is my 30th year--and my last--here! ...amazing, especially since I am clearly not that old! In my time here, I have been a track coach, the yearbook advisor, the Key Club sponsor, the CAS coordinator, the Language Arts Department Lead, the building Literacy Coach, and an avid fan of the SPARTANS! This place and these people are my second family!

My two precious sons, Kenyon (23) and Landon (20), are far and away the best part of my life! I adore them endlessly! My favorite activities include hanging out with my boys, socializing with friends, riding the motorcycle with my boyfriend, snuggling with my kitties, watching movies (especially Marvel!), going to concerts, reading, and photography! "Carpe Diem!"
