Mrs. Dana Clark
My name is Dana Clark and I am McAuliffe’s 7th and 8th grade co-teacher for English Language Arts and Mathematics, as well as a member of McAuliffe’s Special Education Department. I have a long background in education. I have worked as a foreign language teacher (French and Spanish), third grade teacher, a teacher to students learning English, and as a school librarian. I have also taught in a variety of places in our world, from here in Colorado to New York City and even all the way to Bijie, China. I graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with my Bachelor’s Degree. in Cultural Anthropology, French, Spanish and Education. I hold a Master’s of Science degree. in Library Science and a Master’s of Arts. in Special Education. Recently, I have gained my STEM certification. I am proud to work at Christa McAuliffe STEM Academy, where ‘we make learning fun.’
I live in Fort Collins with my husband and two children, our bearded dragon, two turtles and three cats. We love spending time outdoors, hiking fourteeners and walking trails. I grew up in Michigan and have always enjoyed spending time swimming, skiing and boating. Out of all the wonderful activities to do in Colorado, my favorite is exploring our beautiful state, sampling the culture, music, theater and food from every small town to big cities.
