Degrees and Certifications:
Hi! My name is Chantal Tibbitts and I'm a school counselor at the 4-8 campus. I grew up in the military and moved around a lot as a kid, which instilled a love for traveling to new places and learning about new cultures. I graduated from Morgan High School and attended Brigham Young University (BYU), earning a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. After teaching 5th and 6th grades for 2.5 years, I returned to school and received a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University in Washington DC. I then moved to Colorado and spent two years working as an Early Childhood Therapist and then five years as the School-based Mental Health Specialist for Community Reach Center in Adams County. Much of my work involved supporting various schools and the mental health needs of students, so I am thrilled to join the staff at Bella Romero to focus on supporting all the students in our school family. When I'm not at work I love spending time with my husband and two young, rambunctious boys. We enjoy camping, hiking, biking, swimming and attending community events like the Weld County Fair. I'm also an avid reader and aspiring cook. Please know that my door is always open and I'd love to learn more about how I can best serve and support the resiliency of your child.
