Hello! My name is Isaac Mitchell, and I love teaching here at PHMS! I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced orchestra as well as general music appreciation classes. This year, the orchestras will be holding live concerts in December, March, and May. Hope to see you there!

 

I am originally from the Portland area in Oregon, but I went to college in Utah. I graduated from BYU in 2021 with my Bachelors in music education, and I am excited to be in my first year of full time teaching. My wife is a Colorado native and we are glad to be living in her home state.

 

During my time at BYU, I participated in a variety of music ensembles including Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Mariachi (Los Pumas). One of my goals is to begin a mariachi program at Prairie Heights to help bring our band and orchestra students together.
