Hello, my name is John Massey. I was born in New Orleans and when I was 6 I moved to Ohio. I have played sports most of my life. I played football, basketball, track, and baseball. I excelled at baseball and earned a college baseball scholarship. I began coaching in 1994, coaching peewee football in Ohio from 1994-2006. I also coached recreation basketball for 12-14 yr old boys and girls in Ohio from 1994-2006. I coached traveling boys select baseball ages 13-15 from 1994-2006. I took a break from coaching to get married and start a family. I got back into coaching when I began working for Franklin Middle School in 2019 I started off doing boys' and girl's basketball from 2019 to the present and started doing football in 2021 to the present. I started coaching girl's soccer last year in 2022 as Ms. Weber's assistant coach to learn soccer. Most of my time is wrapped up in sports in some kind of form, but it's what I like to do to keep myself busy. My kids help keep me busy as they are in their teenage years and are always wanting to do something. One of my favorite quotes is "Never rest, never rust."
