Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Alexandra Johnson
I am so excited to be teaching your fifth graders this year! This is my 9th year of teaching and my 6th year in 5th grade. I was born and raised in Greeley and attended District 6 schools from K-12. I then moved to New York City where I got my bachelor's in Childhood Education and then my master's in Special Education. After teaching for three years in New York City, I joined the Peace Corps where I taught English, co-taught with teachers, and finally trained and co-taught teachers at a special education school. I am also working on my Ed.S. degree in educational leadership. I absolutely love teaching and can't wait to get to know your children! In my free time, I love spending time with my cat and my family. I also enjoy running, traveling, and baking.
Homework will not be required this year. We want our fifth graders to enjoy time with their friends and family. We do encourage them to read in their free time as well.
I will be communicating with families through clever. You can download the app or receive messages through email.
