Mrs. Byrne

Welcome to Centennial Elementary School and Room 41!  My name is Antoinette (or "Toni") Byrne, and I am delighted to be an Interventionist and CLD Teacher on the Acceleration Team this year!  I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for learning with you!
Let me tell you a little bit about me.  I was born in California and graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations in which my emphases were World Politics, Spanish, and Italian.  Because of my love for children and my passion for teaching, I returned to school and earned my teaching credential from California State University, Hayward.  I have been teaching since 1992, and have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades; been a literacy support coach; and taught 3 years in Italy. Additionally, I have become "highly qualified" to teach linguistically diverse students in California and Colorado.

I live in Windsor with my wonderful husband.  We enjoy spending time together and cooking; gardening; attending community events; visiting  with friends and family; reading; traveling; walking; remodeling our house; and going to the theater to watch stage productions.  Some of my personal interests include jogging; strength training and working out; dancing and Zumba; listening to music; shopping for antiques at flea markets; visiting family and friends in California; and decorating our house.
Now that you know a little about me, I am eager to learn about you.  I hope to meet you soon and begin getting to know you.  I look forward to embarking on this incredible journey of learning and growing with you!
