    Our math curriculum is CPM.  There are three pillars in CPM. 
    1) Cooperative Learning 2) Problem based learning 3) Mixed space learning. 
     
    Over the course of the year, we will be studying representations of numbers, arithmetic strategies, area, portions, integers, variables, ratios, fractions, algebraic expressions, rates, statistics, volume and percents. Students will engage in meaningful math conversations daily to enhance their mathematical thinking.  Students will also work cooperatively in daily lessons, projects, group quizzes, and assignments.  
     
    Be sure to check in with your kiddo each day. Ask them to tell you about the discussion post for the day or what they discussed with their team members in class today. Feel free to quiz them on their multiplication facts.  They should be able to recite to you math facts like they recite their favorite songs on the radio!
