    Ben Lundstrom – Head Coach, Sprints / Hurdles
          

    Jay Shaeffer – Distance Coach

    Coach Shaeffer was born and raised in Greeley.  Graduated from Greeley Central.  Attended UNC and is the current school record holder in the indoor and outdoor 1500m and the indoor mile at UNC.  While at UNC Coach Shaeffer earned All American honors four times and was a four time conference champion.  Mr. Shaeffer has coached track and field at every level from preschool to post collegiate.  He has coached at UNC, Greeley West and Greeley Central as well as here at Northridge.
    Outside of cross country and track and field, Coach Shaeffer has many interests.  Chess, backgammon, reading, unicycle riding, hiking and independent public art.  Just to name a few.  His greatest joy in life is being with children, Asepha and Alea.
     
    Marissa Thomas – Jumps Coach

    Coach Thomas grew up here in Greeley and graduated from NHS in 2004. She was a member of the Student Council and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. She also participated in volleyball, basketball and track. After high school, she continued with volleyball and track at Colby Community College and William Penn University. In 2004 and 2005, she competed at the NJCAA indoor and outdoor nationals for the Heptathlon and Pentathlon. Coach Thomas is currently full time with the Colorado Air National Guard.

     

    Ramiro Rivera – Throwing Coach

    Coach Rivera threw for 7 years for Lyons Middle and Senior High School in Lyons, CO. His current personal records for the shot put was 36’8”. His personal record for the Discus was 129’7”. He currently attends the University of Northern Colorado as a Psychology major and is also currently on the cheerleading team. Coach Rivera is also the head cheerleading coach for Northridge High school. I also judge cheerleading competitions but the best thing he likes to enjoy is a day of hiking, some video games and loves food.
