Update on printed copies of novels:

In past years, we've been able to work with sponsors who offered NaNoWriMo winners a printed hard copy of their novels. Though we worked hard to secure a sponsor who would be able to do this for our winners this year, in the end, we weren't able to find a partner.

We know teachers especially appreciate these printed hard copies as a way to motivate and inspire students, so we apologize for not communicating this sooner. We've heard from some educators who've raised money as a classroom or school to purchase printed copies for their students, and others who've helped their students submit work to online magazines. If your students use the on-site writing space, they can download a PDF of their novel and bind it themselves. We hope you find an alternative this year that makes your students happy, and we hope to be able to offer this opportunity again in the future.

"I hear you’re trying to do an impossible thing. Good. I love impossible things. I try to do at least one each year."
