• Students have an opportunity to sign up for Applied Technology classes at Heath Middle School.  
     
    Sixth graders take Applied Tech for one quarter.  During that time, they get instruction in the following:
    • Improved typing and keyboarding basics
    • Introduction to 3D printing
    • Instruction in TinkerCAD - an online computer-aided design software
    • Instruction on how to use Cura, a 3D printing software program, to make their 3D prints a reality
    • Brief instruction in business design 
    Seventh graders take Applied Tech for two quarters or one semester.  During that time, they get instruction in the following:
    • Improved typing and keyboarding basics
    • Introduction to 3D printing
    • Instruction in TinkerCAD - an online computer-aided design software   TinkerCAD
    • Instruction on how to use Cura, a 3D printing software program, to make their 3D prints a reality
    • Detailed instruction in business design including cost analysis and best business practice
    • Instruction in speech and presentation utilizing podcasting with brief instruction in green screen video processing
    Eighth graders take Applied Tech for two quarters or one semester.  During that time, they get instructions in the following:
    • Improved typing and keyboarding basics
    • Introduction to 3D printing
    • Instruction in TinkerCAD - an online computer-aided design software TinkerCAD
    • Instruction on how to use Cura, a 3D printing software program, to make their 3D prints a reality
    • Introduction into Scuptrix, a digital sculpture software program.  This software can be used with gaming and animation design. Sculptrix
    • Detailed instruction in business design including cost analysis and best business practice
    • Instruction in speech and presentation utilizing podcasting with brief instruction in green screen video processing
    • Introduction and instruction in basic circuitry utilizing Arduino kits
    • Building drones from scratch utilizing Arduino and 3D printer
