We are so excited to be starting the 2019-2020 school year and beginning a new adventure in learning AVID with our students. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. We will be using AVID strategies to engage our students and provide them with the critical skills to become confident, independent thinkers. We are so excited to see our students grow with these strategies and be able to provide additional supports as they start to become college and career ready! Look for more information as the year goes on!

In Greeley-Evans School District 6, our students, families and staff are the stars. They work hard every day to ensure our schools are providing the best education possible. To honor our true stars, District 6 today is unveiling its new logo and brand, which reflects the school district's values and goals for student learning. The new logo includes the star image from the previous logo, as well as the “I’m District 6” tagline, which has been used since 2016 to reflect unity and pride in District 6.
A Denver news show has helped raise more than $50,000 to pay off outstanding student meal debt in Greeley-Evans School District 6.
Update: Food4Success, a campaign to pay off student meal debt ran by The Success Foundation Serving Greeley-Evans Schools, is nearing $100,000 in donations, according to Success Foundation Executive Director Julie Hill, and an upcoming golf tournament could help push the campaign towards it's goal of paying off more than $147,000 in unpaid student meal debt.
This week, we made the difficult decision to switch to remote learning for two of our elementary schools: Madison and Billie Martinez. I wanted to update you on this decision, provide you some important information and resources, and give you some guidance how you can help us keep schools open. I urge you to read this entire communication. It is important.
Residents of Greeley-Evans School District 6 are invited to submit their suggestions for naming the new preschool-eighth grades school that will be constructed in West Greeley and open in Fall of 2022. The new school will be located near Boomerang Golf Course off 71st Avenue, between 4th and 10th Street. This is the first new school to be constructed in Greeley-Evans School District 6 - that isn’t replacing an existing school - since 2003, and the first time additional classrooms have been added to the district in 20 years.
