      • AVID at Maplewood

        We are so excited to be starting the 2020-2021 school year and beginning a new adventure in learning AVID with our students. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. We will be using AVID strategies to engage our students and provide them with the critical skills to become confident, independent thinkers. We are so excited to see our students grow with these strategies and be able to provide additional supports as they start to become college and career ready!       • Ground Breaking Ceremony held for Tointon Academy

        An official ground breaking ceremony for the new Tointon Academy of Pre-Engineering was held Wednesday, March 30 at the site of the school in West Greeley. The new preschool-8th grade academy is named after Bob and Betty Tointon, who have been strong supporters of public education in Greeley and Evans. Construction of the school is being funded through the 2019 Bond Issue approved by voters. This is the first new non-charter school - that is not a replacement school - to be built in District 6 in 20 years.

      • Student Advocate named Classified Employee of Year

        Andrea Lopez Tzun, who first came to Greeley-Evans School District 6 as a student from her home country in Central America, has been named the Classified Employee of the Year. She was honored by the Board of Education at its regular meeting Monday, March 22.
