I am so excited for our second grade adventure at Meeker! This is my fifth year at our school, and I love it here. My husband and I have lived in Greeley for over 20 years and feel so fortunate to be part of this community. 

Our classroom rules are based on the Leader In Me program, encouraging responsibility and leadership in and beyond the classroom. We will create our rules and mission statement together as a classroom community!

Homework: We strongly believe in the power of play and the importance of letting children be children. Our teachers have high expectations for your student during the day and we expect that they give us their all when they are with us. We want you to be able to spend time as a family, eat dinner together, enjoy extra curricular activities without worrying about homework. We still encourage your child to read nightly for enjoyment! 

Meeker's Birthday Policy: We are implementing a new school-wide birthday policy. It’s called “Happy Birthday, Let’s Move”. At Meeker, we like to celebrate the whole child and know that all students will benefit from movement. We will celebrate through activities, creativity, and movement. The birthday student and the teacher will work together to come up a with a ten minute activity to celebrate who they are as a person. There are NO food, drinks, treats, or gifts allowed with our new policy.
