Hi There! I am so excited to be working at Heath again this year as the GT Specialist!

A bit about me first. I am a Colorado native, growing up in Monte Vista, a smaller community in Southern Co. I graduated with a class of 68 students from Monte Vista High School back in 1999. After that I made the treck north and came to Greeley to attend college at UNC. I graduated in 2003 with a Bachlors of Science in Human Rehabilitative Servies, a mouth full I know. After that I always found myself working in different positions that allowed me to work with children. In 2007 I decided I needed to change my path and make a carreer out of teaching. I completed my Masters of Education through the University of Phoenix online in 2009. In those two years I had my first child and worked as a Kindergarten readiness teacher at a child care center in Windsor. At an early age I knew teaching was where life would lead, I just had to spend some time decideing just how that would look for me. In my teaching career that has spanned 10 years now I have served many different roles: GT Specialist, Kindergarten teacher, 5th Grade teacher, and a Science teacher for an alternative middle/high school program here in Greeley. I have been fortunate enough to work with amazing individuals who all taught me great things, and have had the honor of working with hundreds of amazing students who give me hope daily! I reside in Greeley with my husband of 15 years, our 2 children, and two active oversized lap dogs. We love life in Colorado and I couldn't be more fortunate to work for an amazing district.
