    DECEMBER (RESPECT): LESLY MORAN MAQUEDA

     
    “Lesly is an exceptional student who is always on task, engages in class discussion, and actively immerses herself in the MUS 120 curriculum. As our class observes the developing trends and innovations of music throughout time, we study music very different from our contemporary understanding of it. Respect for these various expressions of the others is a crucial part of Music Appreciation, and Lesly is enormously respectful.
    Lesly is a joy to have in class. She is always on time, enters with a smile, and engages in class material.” (Michael Carp, Music Instructor)

    “I've been really proud of being able to keep up with the college curriculum at ECA."

    NOVEMBER (EFFORT): MARCO RODRIGUEZ

     
    “Marco has gone above and beyond in advocating for himself and improving the quality of work he produces. I’ve been impressed with his comments and questions during class discussions and how willing and able he is to help other classmates understand the material.
    His strong work ethic shows in how often he comes after class to ask questions and get clarity. Marco is a great representation of what kind of effort all our students should exemplify at ECA.” (Mike Dixon, English Instructor)

    What achievements or moments have you been proud of yourself for since coming to ECA?
    “I've been proud of developing good relationships with all my professors. I feel like it helps me understand their passion and teaching styles."

    “I want to get some kind of music degree, possibly in music therapy, and I also want to look at programs in technology."
     
      
     Jacob M OCTOBER (WORK): JACOB MILLER
     
    “Jacob’s work is a great example of high quality work produced through dedication and a passion for learning. He strives for high achievement with his assignments, quizzes, and tests by asking insightful questions and proactively keeping up with his studies. He is clearly very driven to succeed academically and is very dedicated to his studies and education. When he is confused, he asks insightful questions and seeks to make connections between concepts.
    Jacob has a positive attitude and amazing enthusiasm. He makes sure to say "hello" before class and "thank you" after class. His energy is contagious and he is delightful to have in class. His positive attitude is extremely influential to his success as a student.” (Elizabeth Thomson, Health and Wellness Instructor)

    What achievements or moments have you been proud of yourself for since coming to ECA?
    “I've been proud of my 4.0 both last year and this year so far."

    “I'd really like to compete in a professional cross-country mountain biking race."

    "Cristal takes ownership for her work by making good use of class time and being responsible for turning in her work completed and on time. When she has to miss a class, she is proactive about informing her professors ahead of time, and seeking out and making up any assignments that were missed. Cristal is a good leader in the classroom as well. She seeks out help when she has questions, and aids her classmates when they have questions.
    Cristal brings a positive attitude to the classroom and is a good example of staying focused and taking ownership of your work for the other students.” (DeAnna Laurel, Environmental Science Professor)

    “I’ve been proud of maintaining my 4.0 GPA for all my years here."

    “I want to graduate with full academic honors and earn my associate's degree by the time I graduate from ECA." 
     
     
    Jaedyn V AUGUST (PRIDE): JAEDYN VALLEJOS
     
    “Jaedyne has been an incredible advocate for ECA in her time in the building. Anytime we need student volunteers to help with big events (registration, open houses, orientation, etc) at ECA, Jaedyne is one of the first students to sign up and one of the last to leave the event. Last year, Jaedyne helped to create the ECA Dance Club as a way to help instill more school pride into ECA events and can now routinely be seen wearing her Dance Club hair bow around the building. I am amazed at the amount of energy and school spirit Jaedyne brings to everything she does at ECA.
    Jaedyne exemplifies all five of the POWER words, I thoroughly enjoy working with her whenever we have a club event in the building. She follows through on her obligations and has an incredible talent for thinking on her feet. ECA is very lucky to have her.” (Whitney Cowling, Aims Program Coordinator)

    What achievements or moments have you been proud of yourself for since coming to ECA?
    “I’ve been proud of getting more involved and starting a brand new club (Dance Club) because I wasn’t as involved at my last school.”

    “My ultimate goal in life is to run a no-kill dog shelter on a farm.”
