Mrs. Stephanie Kubala
My name is Stephanie Kubala. I was born in Denver, Colorado, and grew up in Golden, Colorado. My family members are my husband Edward, my 3 puppies, Maka, Leighla, and Bruce. I moved to Northern Colorado in 2015 to attend the University of Northern Colorado. In May 2019, I graduated with my Bachelors in Special Education. I completed my practicum and student teaching in a resource teacher position, as well as an Intensive Autism Classroom. As of December 2021, I completed my masters program for Special Education: Intervention Specialist: Academic Leadership and Coaching. As of January 2022, I began the pursuit of my EDs or Educational Leadership degree for a principal licensure and special education director licensure. I love learning!
I enjoy running, climbing, hiking, drawing, painting, reading, crocheting, and spending time with my family. My father is a sportswriter for the Denver Post and my mother is a registered nurse. My parents are amazing role models. Growing up, I was given many opportunities to read many times throughout the day. I want to empower little readers to find their own joy in reading. My goal is to read two books for fun each month.
As I mentioned, I have a passion for literacy and inclusion for all students. My teaching philosophy is as quoted by my great-aunt, Sister Joanne Marie Kleibhan, "All children can learn, if we can learn how to teach them." I truly believe that if we can learn how each student learns and access information, we can support them more effectively in every academic and social setting. One of my main focuses this year will be to teach students different strategies to self-advocate for themselves in their classrooms.
This is my fifth year of teaching. I am so excited! If you have any questions, please let me know. I check my email frequently. I look forward to meeting everyone!
