A Message from the Board of Education leadership
Many residents, parents and friends have reached out to us since the December 12 Board of Education meeting for Greeley-Evans School District 6. During the meeting, several individuals came forward and dropped thousands of sheets of paper on the boardroom floor, declaring that we have pornography in our schools and we are abusing children. These papers turned out to be complaint forms from our Board Policy KEC, Public Concerns/Complaints about Instructional Resources.

Student Spotlight: Arleth Parra Contreras, S. Christa McAuliffe STEM Academy
"Over the course of my years in education, there are few students who possess the drive, passion and grit that Arleth shows every day in her academics. Arleth has shown over the past couple years what it takes to learn the English Language and to do it in a positive way. She constantly asks questions, helps other students and always ensures that her work is complete and to the level of excellence that the teacher expects. Arleth is always willing to admit when she has made a mistake, but will use it as a learning experience/opportunity instead of a failure. Watching Arleth collaborate with her classmates and have the confidence to put herself out there, is a powerful thing to see. She deserves all the recognition and more!" - Alexandra Balog, 7th-Grade Instructor
