Hi, I am Shelby Hernandez, and I will be teaching 3rd grade at Tointon Academy!

I am so excited to be joining the Tointon family. I was born and raised in Lakewood, CO. I graduated from UNC with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I also have a masters' degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been teaching for nine years, and I have experience in 5th grade, 3rd grade, and 2nd grade. My husband and I have an amazing two-year-old daughter who is so full of life and smiles. We also have our niece and nephew in our care and they are both going to be Tointon Engineers as well! We are a dog-loving house, and have two boxers, Maggie and Major. In our free time, we love to be outside, playing sports, cheering on our Colorado professional sports teams, and spending time with our family and friends.
