I was born and raised in Greeley. My mother's side of the family has great roots in the Greeley area starting with Nathan Meeker. My grandfather Ted Meeker, of the famous Meeker Twins, graduated from Greeley Central, then Greeley High, in 1945 after delaying his senior year to join the Navy's fight in WWII. My uncle and younger brother both also graduated from GCHS. I attended Greeley West and graduated in 1999. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado majoring in Mathematics: Applied Statistics in 2004. I continued my education by completing my secondary teaching certificate in 2004-2005 and received my master's in Linguistically Diverse Education in 2010. I taught middle and high school mathematics in Fort Lupton and Adams County prior to returning to Greeley in 2006. During my tenure as a mathematics teacher, I have taught: Pre-algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Math Navigator, Integrated Mathematics I, II, and III, Intro to Stats, Intermediate Algebra, Transitional Algebra, and Algebra II. I love being in Greeley with my family and friends. Most evenings, you can find me at a UNC (Go Bears!) or Greeley Central home game or event. Outside of work, I love to spend time with my amazing husband (the one and only Mr. Sean Miller) and our children Finley (5) and Anabelle (2). You will see him at many wildcat events and he loves people, so please say stop and say hi. In our free time, we volunteer for several organizations, participate in outdoor activities (fishing, fishing, more fishing, and a little golf) and enjoy sports of all kinds. I am a member of the GREAT mathematics department at GCHS for the last 18 years and was honored to be awarded Teacher of the Year in 2012 and 2016. I have been the junior class sponsor for the last 15 years and my duties include running and organizing prom, MORP, and the powder-puff football game that works as fundraisers for the senior class gift presented annually at graduation. All of these wonderful events act as a fundraiser for senior class gifts which contribute to the climate and culture of the castle.
I am so lucky to be a WILDCAT! I am looking forward to another great year! Go Cats!
