Mrs. Courtney Fay

A Colorado native, I was born and raised in a suburb outside of Denver and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School.  During my high school career, I was very involved in the performance arts program and enjoyed performing with Wheat Ridge High’s premier performance choir, The Wheat Ridge Singers.  I also loved performing in a variety of stage plays and musicals including The Innocents, Oh, Wilderness!, 42^nd Street, South Pacific, Oklahoma!, and My Fair Lady.  I was also passionately involved in the print arts; writing and editing the school’s newspaper and literary magazine.  This passion for the performing and print arts led me to the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing for the Screen and Television with a minor in Psychology.  After graduating from USC, I lived in Los Angeles, working as an SAT/ACT tutor in Los Angeles area high schools during the day, and building a portfolio to launch my television career at night.  Over the course of three years, I discovered a love of helping students plan for their futures.  At the urging of several School Counselors at the high schools where I tutored, I decided to pursue a degree in School Counseling.  I returned to Colorado and enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado where I completed a master’s degree in School Counseling.  I worked as a School Counselor at Heath Middle School for two years and joined the Chappelow Family in March of 2011.  I am thrilled to begin another year at Chappelow!
