Hello Chappelow families! 

I have been teaching PE in Greeley/Evans School District since 2002. The first 7 years, I taught at Madison Elementary.  I love teaching students how to be healthy and active! I have a Colorado State Standards based PE program and adhere to best practices recommended by our National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE).

In elementary PE class, we do a variety of skills, from Fitness ball Drumming, throwing and catching, fitness activities, teambuilding games, traversing wall, batting, you name it, we do it! In middle school PE, I use a program called Sport Education which is where students are in teams for the whole semester and learn different roles, such as coach, scorekeeper, referee, and player. The teams do everything from setting up equipment, to settling score disputes, to teaching their team different sports, games, or fitness skills. It is a great responsibility for middle school kids to learn from. Please feel free to arrange a time to come to PE to see what we are all about! I am also a lover of dogs, hot pink and purple, anything glittery or sparkly, and spending time camping with my husband.
