Maintenance Departments

The Facilities Department is made up of the following maintenance departments: Access Control/Security Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance and Mechanical Maintenance. The Network/Infrastructure Maintenance Department works closely with the Facilities Departments but it is actually part of the Information Technology Department. The Facilities Department ensures all District 6 buildings are safe, functional, and ready for the future. In alignment with the i2030 initiative, we maintain and improve the building systems* of our facilities to create inspiring, future-ready learning environments.

*Building systems include: architectural, structural, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, access control, security cameras, playgrounds, parking lots and turf fields - to name a few.
