The Building Maintenance Department ensures all District 6 buildings are safe, functional, and ready for the future. In alignment with the i2030 initiative, we maintain and improve the architectural and structural elements of our facilities to create inspiring, future-ready learning environments.

Our Main Services:

Roofing & Drainage

Protecting schools through roof repairs, replacements, flashing, gutter, and downspout maintenance—extending the life of our buildings and preventing water damage.

Exterior Building Care

Maintaining masonry, siding, and other structural components to preserve safety, appearance, and long-term performance.

Interior Repairs & Renovations

Repairing walls, ceilings, windows and window coverings, structural door components, and restroom partitions to ensure spaces remain safe, functional, and adaptable for modern education needs.

Flooring Systems

Installing and maintaining carpet, tile, vinyl, and hardwood floors to provide durable and safe surfaces for learning and activities.

Finishes & Surface Restoration

Painting, patching, and restoring interior and exterior finishes to keep spaces vibrant and welcoming.

Gym Equipment Maintenance

Maintaining basketball hoops, batting cages, bleachers, traverse walls, volleyball systems, and wall padding to support safe and engaging physical education and athletics.

Special Projects

Supporting remodels, space conversions, greenhouse structures, and unique facility upgrades that advance the i2030 vision of modern, flexible, and sustainable learning spaces.
