The Electrical Maintenance team’s responsibilities are focused on ensuring a safe, functional, and efficient learning environment for students and staff.
Core responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance
- Reactive Maintenance and troubleshooting
- Safety and compliance
- Responding to emergency situations, such as power outages or electrical hazards, and implementing appropriate repairs.
Areas of emphasis
- Elevators
- Platform lifts (wheel chair lifts)
- Stand by generators
- Pottery equipment ( kilns, pottery wheels, and pug mills)
- Maintenance lifts ( single-person, scissor, articulating)
- Lights and Power ( switch gear, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, and other electrical equipment
- Coordination with various departments to provide electrical work which adheres to relevant safety standards and codes
