Mechanical Maintenance Department

Mechanical Maintenance takes care of all Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) and Plumbing.

Mechanical Maintenance  monitors and controls the majority of our learning environments, space temperatures and Building Automation Controls Systems (BAS) – which control air flow and temperature – from an office at Facilities. However, service on these systems often requires us to be on location.

The Mechanical Maintenance Department is also responsible for all new and old plumbing repairs and installments, as well as all of the District’s kitchen equipment. 

Major Maintenance Areas:

Boilers and Chillers Plants 

  • Heating systems in all buildings.
  • Cooling systems in all buildings.
  • Roof top unit maintenance (RTU)
  • Air handling unit maintenance (AHU)
  • Classroom unit ventilators

Plumbing 

  • Bathroom sinks and toilets
  • Bottle fillers and drinking fountains
  • Floor drains
  • Water and sewer lines
  • Kitchens, classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms

Kitchen and Breakroom Equipment

  • Walk-in and reach-in coolers
  • Freezers and refrigerators.
  • Ovens, steamers, proofers
  • Garbage disposals
  • Dish and warewashers
  • Ice Makers
