Dress Code Expectations

At District 6, students are expected to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn each day. Together, we create a safe and positive learning environment for all. We take pride in our schools and work together to help everyone feel welcome and successful.

Quick Guide to the District 6 Dress Code Expectations

Our District 6 dress code policy aims to provide an environment where the focus is on learning, and the distractions of dress are kept to a minimum. All students are expected to be appropriately dressed daily.

Face Must Be Fully Visible

No hoods, head coverings, headbands, or bandanas. 

Tops

All shirts or blouses must have straps. 

No Gang Related Apparel

Solid red or blue are not allowed. 

Must Be Covered

Entire area from armpit to armpit to the bottom of shorts/skirt must be covered. 

Shorts

Shorts must be an appropriate mid-thigh length and not altered. 

No Clothing With:

Drug, alcohol, weapons references, or offensive language.
