Brentwood band director to march in 2026 Rose Parade

Jennifer Daigle, the Band Director at Brentwood Middle School, has been selected to join a marching band of more than 300 band directors from across North America in the Pasadena Rose Parade on January 1, 2026. The band will accompany a colorful, animated float along the 5.5 mile parade route.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity I'm excited to be a part of,” Daigle said. “I am eager to meet other band directors from around the country and march in one of the most famous parades.  I've been memorizing music since the beginning of October and I can't wait to finally put it together with the other 300-plus members.  I have always wanted to see the floats in person and am thrilled to have that opportunity.”

The theme of the Saluting America’s Band Directors entry is “America’s Band Directors: We teach music. We teach life.” The band will be directed by nationally known music educator and innovative band director Jon Waters, who will also lead rehearsals and other performances of the band in Pasadena.

This performance is sponsored by the Michael D. Sewell Memorial Foundation, based in Ohio.

Be sure to tune in on January 1 and watch one of our District 6 family members shine!
