Varsity

"I am most proud of playing 4 years of varsity baseball, just being able to work hard and continue to have success on and off the field."

What's one goal you're currently working towards in your sport?

"To get better every day and to be more confident."

Describe your worst sports performance. What did you learn from this experience?

"Having many metal errors, and learning to say 'so what' and move on."

Who are your role models in your sport or life, and how have they influenced you?

"My parents and coaches are my role models. They have pushed. me to get better and to have a better awareness of the game."

How do you balance sports with other responsibilities like school or work?

"It can be hard at times to focus on school with sports, missing many classes and trying to get caught up. But, my teachers have helped with getting the work I've missed. I'm always trying to keep my grades up as high as I can so it doesn't hurt me in the end."

What are your career or college plans after you graduate high school?

"Go to AIMS and work on getting my nursing degree. Then, work in the medical field."

What advice do you have for younger athletes who want to join your sport?

"This sport has a lot of failure and a good batting average is .300. That is three out of ten times you may get a hit. Keep your head up high and compete. What hurts you more in my sport are mental errors more than anything else. It isn't an individual sport. You need a team to play."

Do you have any funny pre-game rituals or superstitions that you stick to?

"No, I don't have any funny pre-game rituals that I can think of."

If you were to participate in a talent show unrelated to your sport, what would your act be?

"Play saxophone. I would be extremely rusty though."
