"Allyson could not be a better example of Pride, Class, and Dignity here at Greeley Central. Her involvement extends beyond track and field and cross country where she leads by example in doing every drill and workout with precision. She is one of the most coachable athletes we have had the pleasure of having on our teams. Allyson's drive to be a leader and success oriented mindset has led her to be involved in NHS, Key Club, Student Council, and Green Cats (our environmental club). Her passion for leadership, accountability, and knowledge will lead her to great futures, and representing the Cats as Athlete of the Week could not be overstated enough. Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat." - Nathan Harvey, Coach

"I am proud of earning the MVP award for field events my junior year because it was my first year doing long jump and I worked hard to improve."
What are your goals for this season?
"My goal is to improve my times and marks from last year and to enjoy my last Track and Field season."
Who are your role models in your sport or life, and how have they influenced you?
"My role model is my mother because I aspire to be as intelligent and independent as she is."
How do you manage the balance between academics and athletics? What strategies have been most effective for you?
"I balance academics and athletics by putting the same effort into both. If I stay late for practice, I dedicate an equal amount of time to my schoolwork."
How do you handle pressure and maintain mental resilience during high-stakes competition?
"It's you against the clock, and you shouldn't worry about others. There is always space to grow."
What are your career or college plans after you graduate high school?
"I plan to attend the University of Northern Colorado to study Software Engineering."
What advice do you have for younger athletes who want to join your sport?
"To take the risk and join because it's a really rewarding sport. When you drop your time, you can see the effort starting to pay off."
Do you have any funny pre-game rituals or superstitions that you stick to?
"Last year, during our 4x400 relay, a few teammates and I came up with a chant about having strong knees, and it has stuck with us ever since."
If you were to participate in a talent show unrelated to your sport, what would your act be?
"I would like to show some of my drawings because I enjoy drawing whenever I get the chance."
