D6 Athlete of the Week: Henry Vickerman, Frontier Academy

"Henry always displays exceptional work ethic and leadership. In the two years I have coached him, he has always stepped up when the team needed him most. He always tries to increase the effort of his teammates by increasing his own. His technical ability and composure make him capable of dictating the game easily and quickly." - Nicholas Kuykendall, Soccer Coach

"I hope to go to state for both soccer and track. I am also working on getting faster and improving my track times."

Describe your worst sports performance. What did you learn from this experience?

How do you balance sports with other responsibilities like school or work?

"I try to keep a healthy balance between school, sports, and my social life. I prioritize school work and make sure it's done before I worry about sports."

"I plan on going to CSU in a pre-med major."

What advice do you have for younger athletes who want to join your sport?

"I always try to eat a peanut and honey sandwich and a banana before my soccer games."

If you were to participate in a talent show unrelated to your sport, what would your act be?

"My act would be juggling."
