Honoring the Life of Bob Tointon

All of us in Greeley-Evans School District 6 are saddened by the passing of Bob Tointon. Mr. Tointon and his wife, Betty, were champions of public education. They helped start the Greeley Dream Team mentoring program for students facing personal and academic challenges. They helped create the Student Recovery Program that mentored young, Latino men to graduate high school. They supported the blended learning program, numerous ballot issues for District 6 and much more. We are so proud that the community asked us to name our newest school after the Tointon family, the Tointon Academy of Pre-Engineering. We are incredibly grateful to the Tointon family. Their legacy will continue to improve the lives of children in our community for generations to come.

Superintendent Dr. Deirdre Pilch, Principal Ungeheuer, and Bob Tointon cut the ribbon of the Tointon Academy of Pre-Engineering in 2022.
