National School Counseling Week 2026

Proclamation of the Board of Education of Weld County School District 6

Proclamation Recognizing February 2-6, 2026, as National School Counseling Week

WHEREAS, school counselors serve as advocates in our schools, dedicated to empowering every student to reach their highest potential; and

WHEREAS, school counselors are deeply committed to helping students explore their abilities, strengths, interests, and talents as they navigate career exploration and future pathways; and

WHEREAS, school counselors partner with families to foster the academic, personal, and social growth of their children; and

WHEREAS, school counselors collaborate with teachers and other educators to help students realize their capabilities and establish meaningful, achievable goals for their future; and

WHEREAS, school counselors seek to identify and utilize community resources to enrich comprehensive school counseling programs and prepare students to become contributing, productive members of society; and

WHEREAS, comprehensive developmental school counseling programs are considered an integral part of the educational process, providing the support necessary for all students to thrive and achieve success in school; 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that the Board of Education of Greeley-Evans School District 6 recognizes and celebrates February 2 through February 6, 2026, as National School Counseling Week.
